Doha Girls Center organized the “Digital Recovery – Reboot” event, aimed at promoting balanced technology use and empowering participants to adopt healthy digital habits that support their physical and mental well-being. The event combined awareness sessions with hands-on activities and concluded with a 3D Art Workshop designed to enhance concentration and creativity away from digital screens.
The event introduced participants to the effects of excessive use of digital devices and social media platforms on physical health, mental well-being, and concentration. It also equipped them with practical strategies for achieving a healthier balance in technology use, evaluating their digital habits, and setting personal commitments to improve them, while encouraging creative activities as a healthy alternative to screen time.
The program covered several awareness topics, including the concept of digital recovery, the phenomenon of Brain Rot and the impact of fast-paced digital content, the physical and psychological effects of excessive screen use, strategies for improving focus and managing digital time, and the role of creative and artistic activities as positive alternatives to prolonged screen exposure.
The event also featured an interactive Digital Recovery Journey, which included a deep-focus challenge, a simulation demonstrating how notifications affect attention, an activity exploring the impact of blue light on eye health and sleep quality, a wellness corner with posture assessments and simple stretching exercises, and a mental wellness corner focused on self-awareness and healthy digital habits.
The program concluded with a practical 3D Art Workshop, where participants created artistic projects away from digital devices. The workshop encouraged creativity, strengthened concentration, and highlighted the value of arts and hands-on activities in achieving a healthier digital lifestyle.
This event reflects Doha Girls Center’s commitment to delivering innovative programs that keep pace with the digital era while promoting digital awareness, enhancing physical and mental well-being, and empowering young women to use technology responsibly and in a balanced way, ultimately improving their quality of life and overall well-being.
