Doha Girls Center organized an interactive art workshop entitled “One-Line Embroidery”, aiming to introduce participants to the fundamentals of this creative embroidery technique by teaching basic stitches and transforming simple drawings into embroidered artworks. The workshop contributed to developing participants’ handcraft skills, enhancing concentration and patience, and providing a space for artistic expression and creativity.

The workshop equipped 50 participants with one-line embroidery skills through a three-hour practical training session. Participants were introduced to the tools and materials used in embroidery, learned the basic stitches and embroidery techniques, and then applied their knowledge by creating their own artistic pieces.

The program included a theoretical session introducing the art of one-line embroidery and its significance, as well as an overview of the tools and materials required. This was followed by a hands-on practical session, where participants practiced the basic stitches and applied them to create innovative embroidered artworks. A short refreshment break also provided an opportunity for participants to exchange ideas and experiences.

The workshop resulted in the completion of 20 miniature embroidery projects using the techniques learned during the session. It also helped participants develop key skills, including precision, concentration, and artistic expression through direct practical application.

This workshop reflects Doha Girls Center’s commitment to offering high-quality artistic programs that nurture creativity, refine practical skills, and encourage young women to invest their talents in producing unique artworks that showcase their abilities and innovation while promoting the appreciation of arts and handicrafts.
