Journey Towards Sustainability

Doha Girls Center organized an interactive workshop entitled “Journey Towards Sustainability”, aimed at raising environmental awareness among participants, strengthening their understanding of sustainability, and encouraging them to adopt environmentally friendly practices through an educational experience that combined knowledge with practical application. The workshop was held as part of the Center’s commitment to promoting environmental awareness and developing a sense of social responsibility among young women.

The workshop highlighted the importance of conserving natural resources and using them responsibly, while introducing participants to the concepts of sustainability and positive environmental practices that can be adopted in everyday life. This helped enhance their awareness of the importance of protecting the environment and their role in promoting sustainable practices.

The workshop also featured a range of interactive and practical activities designed to develop participants’ sense of environmental responsibility and encourage them to reuse and repurpose discarded materials in creative ways. These activities promoted recycling as a meaningful and creative practice.

As part of the workshop, participants took part in a collaborative art activity in which they created an artwork featuring the Doha Girls Center logo using recycled materials. This provided them with an opportunity to apply their creativity, work collaboratively as a team, and transform discarded materials into an artistic piece reflecting the concept of sustainability.

The workshop witnessed positive engagement from the participants, with the practical activities contributing to the development of their creativity and teamwork skills while reinforcing the importance of taking simple, sustainable steps in everyday life to help protect the environment.

The “Journey Towards Sustainability” workshop reflects Doha Girls Center’s commitment to delivering meaningful programs that promote environmental awareness among young women, develop their creative abilities, and encourage them to adopt sustainable practices and contribute actively to building a more environmentally conscious and responsible community.
