The Doha Girls Center, in collaboration with the Qatar Medical Association, announces the organization of an awareness workshop titled “Healthy Sleep and Its Impact on Quality of Life.” The workshop will be held online via Microsoft Teams, as part of their joint efforts to promote health awareness and encourage healthy lifestyle practices.

The workshop aims to raise awareness about the importance of healthy sleep, highlight habits that affect sleep quality, and provide practical tips to help individuals improve their daily sleep routines.

The workshop will cover several key topics, including:

  • The concept of healthy sleep and the recommended number of sleep hours.
  • The effects of sleep deprivation on the body and mind.
  • Napping: when it is beneficial and when it can be harmful.
  • The impact of caffeine (such as coffee and energy drinks) on sleep.
  • Simple steps to improve sleep quality in daily life.

The workshop also aims to achieve the following objectives:

  • Help participants understand the concept of healthy sleep.
  • Increase awareness of the negative effects of insufficient sleep on health and work performance.
  • Enable participants to distinguish the proper use of naps and caffeine.
  • Support participants in applying practical guidelines to improve their own sleep and that of their patients.
